Keep in mind, as a warrior, 5 points of strength grants 1 point of damage. Spending prowess is somewhat up to you, but you're probably going to want to level stuff like your weapon skill and strength (or int if you're an elementalist) first. Just keep in mind that it won't unlock that second feat until you complete the first. This is useful, because you can't craft the next level of armor until you hit a certain skill level, so you'll need to craft that armor anyway.

Once you successfully craft every piece of a full set, then it will unlock a separate feat to craft 100 pieces of that type of armor (can be any type).
I've noticed that armorsmithing has a feat for crafting a full set of armor, for example, chainmail.
If you craft, take a look at the prowess feats for your crafting.

If you go kill stuff, make sure you always have a skinner on you, and skin the corpses when you can. I see that Speeder linked them above, but here they are again, just for easy links: They are extremely helpful, especially if you're coming in completely new to this game. There are plenty of easy monster spawns and some decent resource nodes that should help you get the hang of things. I also suggest staying in the safe zone for now.
At least that's what I've gathered so far. In this game, the zerg is extremely dangerous, with clans like Vamp being prominent zerg groups that will, well, zerg the shit out of battles to achieve victory. Sinister Tyrants is a good clan, lots of good people, but I don't know how much more expanding they plan on doing. I can't really give you advice beyond which would be good or bad. I'm already in the clan Sinister Tyrants. Wow, a Darkfall thread! Glad to see people playing it!
