If you want an otome-like experience, then Obey Me! might not be for you and that’s ok. Similar to Mr Love, you can read side stories with individual characters but they are not necessarily connected to the main story. Instead of individual routes for each character there is one main story, or common route, as detailed in Your Tasks. The cards you obtain from gachas and missions will help you in the battles and the more you battle the stronger your cards will get.Īs I said in the beginning of this post, Obey Me! is not an otome game. The book icon is where you read the story and the weird pink icon is where you battle. Basically it’s set out similar to Mr Love (again) where you are able to read a portion of the common route/main story and battle with your cards to progress to the next part of the story.

Here we have the other most important function: the story function. Only the 10 pull guarantees an SSR or higher card.
OTOME FUNCTION GAME FREE
(Don’t ask me why they called it something so confusing 🤷♀️.) Much like other gacha games you have a free pull once a day and a 10 pull that costs in-game money. The Nightmare icon (located on the bottom right in between the Contacts icon and the Your Tasks icon) serves as the gacha function where you are able to obtain the cards needed to progress through the game. I wont explain all of them as it tells you what each icon does if you play through the prologue but I’ll explain two of the main functions that might be confusing to some. These are all functions that enhance the experience of the game by allowing you to chat with the characters and receive their calls (similar to Mr Love) with the extra additions of the other icons that have their own functions within the game. There are then extra icons you might find in a regular phone such as instagram (or Devilgram in the Obey Me! universe), Mail, contacts and a to do list. We have the call function under the phone icon, the chat icon just below and even the time and battery power is displayed. The homescreen and system of the game is made to look and function like a smartphone (tho its landscape obvs). Now, take a look at the homescreen of Obey Me!: You will also find Transfer Data here so make sure to set that up (you can also connect it to fb if you prefer). Help and Inquiry buttons are located in Options on the top right hand corner of the main screen. I am happy to answer questions but as I am also new to the game I ask you to direct them to solmare if you can.

This post does not cover everything, just the main points I think people will have trouble with. It is similar in format to games such as: Mr Love: Queen’s Choice, A3! and Ayakashi Romance Reborn to name a few. Solmare themselves call it an “Anime Card RPG” game. For those wondering, Obey Me is NOT an otome game.
